Anjelah Candle Company would love for you to fully enjoy your candle. To ensure you maximize your experience, we have listed a few steps to help you burn your candle safely and correctly.

Wick trimming is essential for your candle care. We suggest trimming your candle wick to 1/4″ before every burn. This will give you a cleaner burn less soot and wick mushrooming.
- For your first burn, it is important to allow for the entire surface of the candle to liquefy before putting it out. This sets the burn memory of the candle. Do not extinguish candle until the wax has melted edge to edge. This will allow the candle to last longer, prevent tunneling and flooding the wick. We recommend burning candle no more than 4 hours at a time.
- Trim wick to 1/4″ before each light to avoid the formation of excess soot and high burning flames. Make sure your wicks are positioned in the center properly before each light.
- Do not place or burn your candle on heated surfaces. This can cause an increase of the burn and can cause glass to overheat and can potentially crack or explode.
- Do not leave your candle unattended and make sure to avoid fans, drafty areas or gusts of wind which could cause the flame to flare up which can give off black smoke and cause uneven burn. Never let wick touch the side of the candle jar.
- If the candle jar become blackened, extinguish it and allow it to cool and then gentle clean it with a dry paper towel or cloth.
- Never move candle before the jar has cooled and the wax is solid. Ensure candle is extinguished before leaving it unattended.

- To extinguish candle, we recommend using a candle snuffer and blowing the candle out gently.
- When the candle can no longer be burned, remove the residue of wax from the jar and it can now be used for multiple purposes in your home.
